‘Putting Children First’

Year 6 SATS 2017

As you are already aware the testing process changed last year. Children are now assessed based on ‘age-related expectations’. This half term and after Easter we will be preparing children for SATs. We will be sending booklets and a SATs Communication Book home so that you know precisely what areas your child needs to work on in both maths and literacy. Anything you are able to do at home will certainly help them prepare for the tests. Below are some examples of the new papers that the children will be tested on. If you have any questions please pop in and see Mr Brown, Mrs Cottingham or Miss Whisker. We are aiming to plan a SATs meeting to talk you through precisely what the testing is all about and what it all means in the near future so stay tuned.
